The corrugated tin building housed equipment for the production and storage of pellet size (range cubes) cattle feed.

The original power plant was a ship engine. In later years it was replaced by a
Caterpillar diesel
engine.

The facility was operated for many years under the guidance of Mr. Louis C. Drost.
