McFaddin Mercantile

The store was the shopping location
for most of the employees of the ranch
and for other families from the surrounding area. The mercantile provided
most
the daily supplies for the operation of the ranching activities.
A few years ago a reunion was held at the ranch and the
mercantile was the focal
point for the gathering. Several hundred people participated and they came
from
many different locations across Texas.
On December 24th and 25th of 2004 snow fell in McFaddin. The above picture shows the store in the snow.
